Marlene has been an occupational therapy specialist for more than thirty years. She joined AOT in 1987 as a supervisor, and was promoted to manager of pediatric services in 1994. In May 2006, she was named AOT’s Vice President. In addition to her executive duties, she continues to directly manage over 20 pediatric occupational and physical therapy service contracts throughout western Pennsylvania. Prior to joining AOT, Inc., Marlene served as director of occupational therapy at Dixmont State Hospital, Mayview State Hospital, and the Community Mental Health Center of Beaver County. She also was an occupational therapy training specialist at Mayview and an occupational therapy consultant at McGuire Memorial Home. She instructed a lab on psychiatric assessment in the department of occupational therapy at the University of Pittsburgh and has served as adjunct faculty at Duquesne University. Marlene has post-graduate certification in both sensory integration and in infant mental health.

Melody joined AOT in 1991. Upon her graduation from Pitt, she worked for AOT as a staff occupational therapist, working with adults in acute care settings. Her life-long ambition was to work with children, and she realized this dream with the expansion of AOT’s pediatric division in the 1990s. She assumed the role of educational manager in 1993. Aside from her school-based role, Melody is also an early intervention provider. A tri-county agency recognized her as an expert in early intervention feeding practices and chose her to develop feeding protocols. In addition, Melody has provided clinical supervision for AOT’s clinical/fieldwork program for many years. She has post-graduate certification in neuro-developmental treatment (NDT) and therapeutic listening.

Kristin joined AOT in 2005 as an educational manager, a role that she continues to hold. Kristin is a skilled communicator and adept manager, and presents multiple inservices in schools on a variety of topics to empower teachers, parents, and paraprofessionals. Prior to becoming an occupational therapist, Kristin was a registered nurse. Fulfilling her desire to work with, and improve the lives of, children, she completed a master’s degree in OT and a post-graduate certification in sensory integration. She began her career as a pediatric occupational therapy specialist for The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh, where she worked for several years.

Mary has headed AOT’s accounting department since joining in 1999. Prior to joining AOT, Mary worked as a staffing consultant for finance and accounting and as a controller.

Diane joined AOT in 1994. For 17 years, she worked as the director of administrative services overseeing human resources, information technology, and marketing. In her present role, Diane works with the contract services team in acquiring and developing partnerships with new agencies. Prior to working for AOT, Diane worked as a graphic artist.
