This August, AOT employees donated personal care items for local organizations that serve homeless children and teens. We sorted and inventoried all of the donations and packed them up for delivery to FamilyLinks in Allegheny County and the Cornerstone of Beaver County.
Marie Timpano, the Executive Director of the Cornerstone of Beaver County, said she wants to thank all of our employees “for your gracious donations to their organization to help with their efforts to prevent and end homelessness.”
Kraig Makohus, director of development at FamilyLinks, was extremely grateful, saying that the youth they serve in their homeless shelters are always in need of personal care items. Sarah Bixby, the development associate at FamilyLinks emailed us saying, “What a wonderful donation…thank you very much for putting this together. Our McKeesport Girls Shelter just let us know we were in need of shampoo/conditioner…so this is very timely!”
Altogether, AOT collected the following:
- 54 bottles of Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash
- 9 deodorant packages
- 5 hair products
- 21 Wash cloths
- 14 Towels
- 3 packs of underwear
- 24 pair of socks
- 3 T-shirt packs
- 4 twin sheets
- 14 pair flip flops
These items will be put to good use in shelters that provide help to homeless children and teens.
AOT Employees are the Best!
